What runs locally, with no account
Scanning a drive, the treemap, largest-items table, duplicate finder, safe cleanup, and the installed-apps manager all run entirely on your machine. None of this data, including file names, paths, or sizes, is sent anywhere. You can use every one of these features without ever creating an account.
File recovery
Recovering deleted files also runs entirely on your machine. The drive image it makes and the files it recovers stay on your PC, on the drives you choose. Nothing from the drive is uploaded.
Purchases
Payments are handled by Dodo Payments on their checkout page. They collect the details needed to process your order, and share your name, email address, and order details with us so we can deliver your license and support you. We never see or store your card number.
What an account is used for
Signing in is only required for two features: P2P file transfer and My cloud disk. We use Supabase for authentication, and store your email address, and the profile details you choose to add (display name, country). Signing in also syncs a small device record: hostname, OS version, a stable hardware identifier, and the app version, so we can support multi-device sync.
P2P file transfer
Files sent between two copies of MyDiskHub travel directly over a peer-to-peer WebRTC connection. Supabase Realtime is used only to exchange the connection information needed to establish that link, a one-time pairing code, and connection metadata. File content never passes through our servers.
My cloud disk
Files you upload to your personal cloud disk are stored using Supabase Storage, scoped to your account, up to your plan's storage limit. If you create a share link, anyone with that code can access the shared file or folder until it expires or you revoke it. You can delete anything you've stored, or your account entirely, at any time.
Website analytics
This website uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read. Analytics cookies are only set if you accept them in the cookie banner; until then, Google receives only cookieless signals with no identifier. If you accept, Google Analytics collects data such as pages viewed, approximate location, device, and browser. You can change your choice at any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page. The MyDiskHub app itself contains no analytics.
What we don't do
MyDiskHub runs no advertising, and the app runs no analytics or tracking of any kind. We don't sell your data, and we share it only with the services named above, which we use only to run the features you use. Every delete action in the app moves items to the Recycle Bin, never a permanent, un-recoverable delete.
